GRAINY PHOTOS??????????

Like everyone else said it is the ISO that is causing the excessive noise. Panasonic's are notorious for having very noticeable noise even at ISO 400 (I've had a few Panasonic cameras). Your best bet is to buy a DSLR or set the ISO down to 100 and use a tripod because you'll be shooting at a slower shutter speed.
