I want to turbo my 07 honda civic ex which has the R18 and stock internals is it safe?

My car will still be my daily driver but i want the power when i get a wild hair or if i want to take it to the drag strip i know my motor has oil injection to help cool the pistons it also has hotter gases coming from the head which can help spool the turbo and if im not mistaken it also has forged internals which is a plus for a turbo i will be doing all the work myself i work on all my vehicles but i dont want to rebuild a motor with 45000 mile this will be my first time with a turbo i know how they work and how to install them but im ignorant to how it would effect my motor being stock
