No place to sit when someone is preaching in in's Creed?

I understand that in order to listen to these preachers that you have to be sitting down. I've done this before but have had a substantial break from this game because of Halo 3. I see him preaching but I can't target him or find a place to sit and I have to "investigate" before I can asinate my next target. I'm memory 4, I'm in Demascus. The only investigating I've done for this target was an interrogation, which was kind of an accident. I'm lost! Also, I've found all viewpoints in the poor district of Damascus and the other areas of Demascus are still blurred out on the map. I don't want to put this game away and give up but I'm really close. Please help! playing the 360 version.
